We are Unique and so are our Financial Needs
We're unique. Our lives are different. Being a member of the LGBTQIA+ community allows us to live our lives as we design. So why are finance companies trying to sell us the same products and services that they do to a nuclear family with a mom, dad and 2.3 children. Our lives are full of the richness we have for found family, partners, and friends closer to us than those related by birth. And finance bloggers have left us out of the conversation – until now.
At Queerly Wealthy we’re going to talk about our needs as a community and how we can protect our families financially; while being uniquely us

We Educate
We share information about the financial needs of people that are not ‘typical’. This encompasses any equity seeking group that has financial needs that expend beyond the typical nuclear family unit. Maybe you have found family, adoptive family, step children, multiple partners, aging parental figures, or just people who are in your life that you want to take care of. Financial literature doesn’t often address our needs.
Here we talk about it.
We talk about the roots of systemic economic discrimination and how it still pervades today. And what we can do to help protect ourselves for the future.
Who we are
Our Vision
At Queerly Wealthy, we want to shine a light onto the systemic economic discrimination that causes the wealth gap for the LGBTQIA+ community. A significant body of research has been done on the wealth gap by gender, race and ethnicity. Only recently has this research begun to include gender expression and sexual orientation – and the results are staggering.
- Uncover the Root Causes of economic oppression for the LGBTQIA+ Community
- Highlight the tailored financial interventions our community requires at each stage of our lives to be financially successful
- Showcase what we can do as a community to protect ourselves financially for the future
How We Got Started
Our Purpose
Queerly Wealthy was born out of my frustration with the finance community. Being a Bay-Street boss babe with decades of experience in the financial industry, I was eternally frustrated that I was the one highlighting the needs of the 2SLGBTQ+ community to finance bros trying to sell me products and services that didn’t meet my needs.
My goal is to build awareness of the economic needs of my community and the inequality we continue to face; and in doing so, we can revolutionize the economics of the 2SLGBTQ+ Community
